Children's Ministry

The greatest hope for the local church is found in raising godly children. Children are not only the church of tomorrow, but also the church of today. Research has shown that most children have their moral and spiritual foundations set by age twelve. In addition, most children gravitate toward the beliefs and values of their parents. Families are the strongest influence in a child's life*.

It is no wonder why God places the responsibility of investing spiritually in the lives of children on the parents. Concerning the communication of biblical principles from parents to children, God says in Deuteronomy 6:7, Impress them on your children. Talk about them when you sit at home and when you walk along the road and when you lie down and when you get up (NIV).

While He was on the earth, Jesus' last command to believers was: "Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all things that I have commanded you, and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age". (Matthew 28:19-20 NKJV)

We take this command very seriously. We aim to create environments where discipleship takes place. We desire to assist parents in making young followers of Christ who will become adult followers of Christ.

Kids Live exists as a part of the Family Ministry at New Life Christian Fellowship and as such, believes the greatest way to impact kids for Christ is to reach their parents. The church does not seek to usurp the God-given responsibility of parents to raise godly children but rather to partner with and assist them in their role.

There is a great responsibility God has given us in raising up a generation of Godly men. To be fathers and teachers. All it takes is one righteous generation to change this nation and get us back on the right path. When you see little boys running in our hallways, we must remember, they're the future - not only of this church, but also of this NATION!

Maybe that will encourage us to see them a little differently.

What a wonderful time we all have at Pow Wow each year. This event brings together boys from all over the state of Florida and South Georgia.

For 3 days, 100+ boys and commanders play laser tag, paintball, and so much more. All of which is capped off each night with praise and worship of our loving God.

On the second night, we move indoors to praise the Lord with the aid of a praise and worship team. While this is going on, boys all over the gym give their lives to Jesus for the first time.

Mpact
The motto of our program is "We Care."

Because we care, we serve. Jesus came to do the Father's will. While He was on earth, His ministry was to lead people to repentance and acceptance of the truth. The Father's will for us today is to continue sharing the message of His love, salvation, and everlasting life.

The MPact Girls do this through the various outreaches that they are involved in through the church. The prayers, interaction of other girls, and witnessing of each MPact girl has been central to the MPact program.

As in Galatians 6:2, we share one another's burdens and so fulfilling the law of Christ our MPact scripture verse.

SUNLIGHT
"Sunlight" is an MPact club for boys and girls ages two and three.

Our motto is "Sunbeams shine for Jesus"

RAINBOWS
"Rainbows" is an MPact club for boys and girls ages four and five.

Our motto is "Rainbows are helpers" and our scripture verse is "We are helpers." (2 Corinthians 1:24)

The program is divided into six units. During each four month unit it is possible for the boys and girls to earn patches. The patches are in the shape and color of the rainbow and are worn on a blue vest.

In order to earn a stripe a child must accomplish four requirements such as memorizing a Bible verse each month, making a get well card for a sick friend or saying a prayer to end a meeting.

During the meetings we sing, play games, read stories, make crafts and have puppet shows. We learn about God, how much He loves us and how He wants us to love each other.

DAISIES
God is very giving. He has given us so much that we need to give back to Him. In Daisies we have been learning about giving. The Lord can use our time, talents, money and us. We give back to Him also.

Our lessons were written to encourage the girls to give. Often we think of this as only money, but it so much more. Jesus is one of our best gifts. We have been talking about David and his example of giving his best as a musician, shepherd, soldier, and king.

The daisies motto is "Daisies tell about Jesus" and the scripture verse is "Let your light so shine." (Matthew 5:16)

PRIMS
The prims motto is "Prims will be kind and thoughtful." and their scripture verse is "Be kind to one another." (Ephesians 4:32)

Learning pledges, doing crafts, playing games,and having fun is what Daisies and Prims are all about. We can do all this and more to tell about Jesus.

STARS
"Stars" is one of five classes here at New Life. Stars is designed for Girls in grades 4 through 8. We meet weekly on Wednesday nights at 7 PM.

Our meetings include prayer, missions studies, music, devotions, achievement programs, crafts, field trips and more. Our objectives are to win girls to Christ, teach them Bible-based guidelines for Christian living, to acquaint them with both home and foreign missions, to challenge them to develop their talents, and develop Christian relationships and consideration for others.

"Stars" provides an excellent opportunity for girls to become familiar with leadership positions. We have recently elected officers for out organization. Our new president is Shea Fraze. Leann Royster was voted in as our first vice-president and Aleah Duren is second vice-president. The girls chose Alyssa Royster and Dani Fraze for secretary and treasurer respectively.
